VIRTIMO DEVELOPS CUSTOMISED PLATFORM FOR EUROPEAN TSO
Virtimo supports a European electricity transmission grid operator in the implementation of its new schedule management system. The existing systems are being completely replaced and a new, powerful and future-proof application landscape is to be built.
The goal of the schedule management system is to achieve a balance between production and consumption in the national electricity transmission network. For this purpose, a controller schedule is designed that aggregates all imports and exports in the electricity grid and enables grid security calculations and congestion management measures.
The customer’s evolved system structure is reaching its limits in the areas of functionality and performance and will no longer be able to meet the future energy industry requirements for mapping this objective. In addition, the usability is no longer considered satisfactory by the users.
With the Virtimo portfolio of products, solutions and services for the digital transformation, we can map the customer requirements holistically. With the optimal mix of standardised modules and individual extensions, Virtimo designs a high-performance and future-proof platform to ensure supply security in the European electricity grid network.
In addition to numerous new functions and the fast and fail-safe processing of large amounts of data, a modern UI to increase the usability for the users will also be given special consideration in the platform developed by Virtimo.
The project plan, which lasts approximately two years, includes the conception, implementation, testing, trial operation of the platform, training of the users, documentation as well as the productive implementation of the new application landscape including the transfer of old data. Virtimo will also provide support for the new timetable management system for the European electricity transmission system operator.
