Virtimo launches new Publication Service for transparency data.
Highest availability without any downtime: Successful go-live of first clients on new Publication Service.
As part of the critical infrastructure, energy suppliers are subject to various legal obligations with regard to transparency data. Virtimo’s new Publication Service offers relief in fulfilling all applicable publication and reporting obligations. Based on an active/active cluster, the service is characterized by a high degree of reliability.
The Publication Service presents the next generation of Virtimo’s Publication Framework. By switching to cloud operation, which is geo-redundant via several data centers, Virtimo is providing energy supply companies with a particularly robust and high-performance service.
Updates and maintenance are carried out automatically and without downtime by Virtimo. “Due to the fact that a centralization has taken place through the service, we know that clients are always using the latest version. When an update is run, it is installed immediately and does not have to be distributed across ten different company servers. At the same time, the required maintenance effort has been significantly reduced,” explains Dr. Christian Kaufhold, Product Owner of Publication Services.
With its different technical and functional modules, the Publication Service enables energy companies to fulfill all their publication obligations. This does not only apply to current regulations, as Dirk Breitkreuz, CEO of Virtimo AG, emphasizes: “The basic idea of modularity in the Publication Service ensures that all future requirements are met as well. This means that new specifications, for example in relation to hydrogen and REMIT 4, can also be covered.”
Thanks to the realization of various legal requirements [SO GL, Redispatch 2.0, REMIT, ENTSOG, BNETZA, among others] as well as the compatibility with several market roles [grid operators, traders, storage operators, …], the service presents a comprehensive solution in the field of transparency data.
